Meet some of the Staff                                 Home

The Full brigade of Chefs on the patio roof (this area at the rear of the building is reserved for staff, there is also a staff room). 

Jason Plevey( second from the right, sitting,) is the Head Chef and Pete, (third from top right) is Jay's Senior Sous Chef Additionally we employ a smaller number of kitchen porters (wash ups) and a daytime cleaner.

 

 

 

The waiting staff are split between full and part time posts and led by a Manager Lynn Allington a deputy (Wendy) and an assistant manager (Nick). The Managers are seen here in black.

The staff are all very friendly both to customers and each other which makes it a very good working environment to be in.

The kitchen is an all new installation, the areas on view here are the wash up, to the right and the pastry prep area (where we make all those tarts and cakes) to the left.

 

Here Is Tijan, one of our Commis Chefs actually doing some work - not like those three above.

Probably the end of a shift because everything is looking very clean and tidy...

Tijan is standing in the heart of the kitchen, the grill section is behind him to the left, the starters section in front and to the left.

Tijan is one of four Commis chefs, there are one Chef de Partie, two Junior Sous Chefs and two Sous Chefs, plus Jason Plevey the Head Chef

All these posts (except one) are full time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Everybody Wave....

This stills area is next to the kitchen (it's meant to be manned by one!).

Many of the drinks for the upstairs Bistro can be found in here - though alcoholic beverages are mostly kept behind the Bar downstairs.
