Melton's and Melton's Too are renowned for using local suppliers and farms, for their fresh quality produce. Some of our local heroes are as follows:
Lowna Dairy
Among the rolling hills of East Yorkshire, Tom and Tricia Wallis make their award winning goats cheeses by hand and in small batches to provide fantastic taste and high quality.

Loose Birds
Dr Paul Tanning and his wife look after the hens and geese on their land around Harome, near Helmsley. His standards are rigid. Dr. Tanning believes, "...the welfare of the birds comes first. I do everything to try to give them as interesting and pleasant a life as possible. I treat them like I would treat myself.”

Low Moor Farm - Sand Hutton
Richard and Rhonda Morritt of Low Moor Farm say half of their crop is is sold at the farm gate. At first glance, the fields look empty but, in season, asparagus has to be picked everyday and grows at an incredible rate. It appears in the field as it does in the farm shop or supermarket - no foliage, just a stick of asparagus standing in a mound of dirt, waiting to be picked, washed, cooked and eaten.

A great place to walk around, feed the fish and catch your own. Just on the edge of Pickering.
